Join us in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota for a magical day and night of holiday festivities! Our city celebration includes the sparkle of downtown lights, an artisan market, horse-drawn wagon rides, a llama wonderama, sidewalk carolers, a living nativity, a very merry meat raffle, a lighted grand parade featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus, endless shopping specials, and more!

 

Enjoy a variety of menu items from our downtown eateries and warm up during the parade with free hot chocolate and candy for the kids!

Retail Shopping
& Artisan Market

Shop for unique holiday gifts at downtown businesses throughout the day and visit the many artisan booths inside Riverside Terrace from 9:30-4:30.

Lighted Parade

Watch as festive floats and performers light up the night during our holiday parade starting at 5pm on 2nd Avenue. Free hot chocolate along the route and kids will love all the candy. Watch for Santa and Mrs. Claus too!

Sidewalk Carolers

Listen to the beautiful sounds of traditional holiday carols sung by local choirs and singing groups as they make their way through downtown from 11:30-4:30.

Horse-Drawn
Wagon Rides

Line up by the Riverside Terrace and get on board for a FREE wagon ride along River Avenue. JR's Stables will feature their majestic Percheron horses pulling a wagon from 11-3.

Llama Wonderama

Right outside the Riverside Terrace you can visit our friendly llamas and learn about these fascinating animals. They're soft, gentle, and love attention. Dress them up and take selfies from 11-3.

Meat Raffle

The Very Merry Meat Raffle will be at Danny's Dugout this year (736 South Benton Drive) starting at 4pm. Win actual cuts of meat or choose Gift Cards to purchase your favorite products at Manea's Meats and Coborn's.

Living Nativity

Visit the Living Nativity display in Coborn's parking lot to celebrate the Christmas story – from 2pm-5pm performed by members of Living Waters Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids.

Tours and Treats

Go back in time to see and hear about the fascinating history of Sauk Rapids and its residents who shaped the community. Visit the Benton County Historical Museum at 202 2nd Ave South for Tours & Treats from 1-4!

Scavenger Hunt

The Sauk Rapids-Rice High School DECA students have organized this fun event for the week of 12/2–12/9! Scan the QR Code to sign up as a participant. Visit downtown businesses to fulfill the Scavenger Hunt rules and be entered into a drawing. Three Winners will be drawn to receive $100 each. #srjinglemingle #saukrapids

Toys For Tots

On Dec 9th, from 1-4pm, drop off new, unwrapped toys at the Sauk Rapids Fire Station, 408 N Benton Drive. Enjoy cookies, coffee and hot chocolate. Firefighters also will be collecting Toys for Tots at 5pm at the start of the Jingle & Mingle Lighted Parade! Thank you for your generosity to Toys for Tots!
